For our inaugural spotlight, we aimed to extend support to a special rescue organization in San Antonio, TX. Upon discovering Neela, our first "rescue tale" in McAllen, my initial intent was to either rehome her or seek assistance from a rescue group in facilitating her adoption. Despite reaching out to every rescue in the valley, none were willing to assist. Eventually, I connected with a friend in San Antonio who fosters dogs for The Lucky Spot Dog Rescue. This remarkable rescue was the sole organization willing to aid me in finding a new home for Neela and even offered assistance in coordinating her spaying procedure.
Although I ultimately decided to keep Neela and cover her veterinary expenses independently, I am immensely grateful to The Lucky Spot Dog Rescue for their unwavering support during my time of need. Their willingness to step up when others wouldn't is truly commendable.
